The
properties of the Azienda Agricola Il Mandorlo extend south of the village
of San Casciano Val di Pesa, in a region traditionally renowned for the production
of wine, among the Chianti Classico hills.
The
26 hectares which develop around the wine farm are dedicated to the typical
productions of the area and part of them (approximately 15 hectares) is covered
by specialized vineyards at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea
level.
Il
Mandorlo has recently built a new vinification cellar equipped with stainless
steel tanks for thermoregulated fermentation processes. This extremely functional
structure is in addition to the old and traditional underground aging cellars
where typical oak barrels and barriques are destined to the aging of wines.
